"In terms of appearance Petra Egg's artistic actions are often reminiscent of (children's) handicraft, of cutting out and pasting, of DIY work or handiwork, of sewing and needlework, complete with all the connotations of naivety and domesticity (while also intentionally citing all these aspects); they also seem partly motivated by the genuinely practical and functional.
